7A0 The patient was a 3 month old male with a history of prematurity admitted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in May 2022 in acute liver failure and pancytopenia with genetic panel confirmed hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis with refractory disease. Despite therapy he died approximately 1 month later. ---- There are large numbers of enlarged Alzheimer type 2 astrocytes in the basal ganglia of this patient without formation of reactive glial processes ("Naked nuclei astrocytosis".
