This patient with seizures is thought to have developed subarachnoid hemorrhages from chronic traumatic insults, although not frankly contusive injury in the sites involved. The examination of the base of the brain shows diffuse involvement and orange discoloration prominent in the right cerebellar hemisphere with relatively little involvement of the left. The base of the temporal and orbital surface and olfactory bulbs are diffusely involved.
