1A1,2 Is this Chiari type 1 malformation? The tonsils certainly show displacement into the vertebral column but are rather unimpressive histologically. One might be more confident if there was more substantial accompanying pathology including some discoloration, hemorrhage, neuron loss or gliosis in the protruded tissue.
