The longitudinal section of the medulla and cerebellum shows decrease in the vermis with atrophy of the inferior posterior vermis (arrow) and preservation of the cyst wall (arrowheads) which consists of some residual vermis, choroid plexus and leptomeninges. Note the intact surface of much of the cerebellar hemisphere (blue arrowhead).
