Immunohistochemical stains were performed to further evaluate the nature of the cells in 11A1. PR shows strong nuclear positivity in the cells with oval nuclei, forming whorls and clusters. The overall histologic and immunophenotypic findings are those of an encephalocele, with a meningothelial subcutaneous component: GFAP is negative.
