14C3-Encephalocele-Case-14-H-E-2.jpg
Sections of the cerebellar tissue show a prominent vasculature and a thick fetal external granular layer which are not, by themselves abnormal in appearance. (H&E) ----Not shown: A deep nucleus anlage, which may be dentate, appears dysplastic, lacking its serpiginous normal structure. Sections of the choroid show large numbers of vessels and apparent glial islands, although their heterotopic nature is less clear.
