Case 17 History ---- The patient was a 1 day old female infant who was the former 1930 gm product of a 33 and 3/7 week estimated gestation, born following induction of labor, to a 20 year old G1P0. Labor was induced due to a large posterior encephalocele which was thought to be incompatible with life. Apgar scores were 5 at 1 minute and 5 at 5 minutes. She expired after 15 minutes of life.
