Case 26 History ---- This was a 3 month old female born at 38 weeks of gestation who developed a fulminant Staph infection and passed away. ----26A The sagittal gross specimen shows the encephalocele with displaced dysmorphic brain (arrow) and shaggy empyema, leptomeningitis and ventriculitis. The pons is marked with an arrowhead.
