8B2-4 Markedly abnormal neurons have large size, a more spherical shape compared to pyramidal, increased and clumped Nissl substance, abnormal dendritic arborization, abnormal clearing of nuclei, frequent macro-nucleoli, and rare binucleation. Large dysplastic and dysmorphic neurons are also present in layer 1, as well as in the subcortical white matter; the latter resulting in multifocal blurring of gray-white junction.
