Case 5 - This is the brain of a term infant with lobar holoprosencephaly who lived for 6 days after birth. ---- In addition to heterotopia in the frontal lobe, the cerebellum shows collections of poorly organized dysplastic mixed cell rests containing mature neurons (arrow) and immature neuroepithelial cells (#5A2) which have been called "heterotaxia" of Brun or cerebellar dysplasia).
