Case 4 - This 36 week gestation infant had multiple CNS abnormalities including acrania, encephalocele, and heterotopias surviving two weeks before succumbing to meningitis. ---- The gross specimen has been disrupted during postmortem removal. Note the opacification of the meninges by bacterial meningitis (arrows).
