In these images collections of neurons (arrowheads, 5B1D) cluster in superficial nodules mimicking parahippocampal pre-alpha clusters but are nowhere near that cortical region. The superficial area (arrow, 5B1D) represents a leptomeningeal glioneuronal heterotopia. (H&E)
