Case 2 - This is the brain of a two and a half year old child with intractable seizures thought to have arisen from infection by a TORCH agent in utero. ---- The ventral aspect of the brain shows marked polymicrogyria and collapse of one temporal lobe, evidence of hydrocephalus. The cerebellar hemispheres also appear atrophic.
