Washington University Experience | EPILEPSY | Hemiatrophy | 2 Hemiatrophy with Seizures (Case 2)
This 19 year old patient with chronic seizures since the age of 5 months shows a degree of left ventricular dilatation, decreased volume of white matter and thinning of the corpus callosum. This patient also developed a superimposed meningitis during her childhood. The question remains if the same process which produced the pathology in this case represents the residua of seizures with subsequent superimposition of a second insult.
