Case 5 A patient with hippocampal sclerosis shows other sequelae of neonatal chronic hypoxia/ischemia including loss of white matter in the corpus callosum and likely status marmoratus in the thalami illustrating how difficult it may be to identify a single "pure" case of hippocampal sclerosis from insults which may reflect the originating process.
