3B1-3 The whole mount specimens show marked loss of tissue at the depth of a sulcus (arrow) with relative preservation more superficially, although the tissue at the most superficial part of the gyrus (arrowhead) shows a nodular complex pattern (H&E). Deeper areas are typically most involved by ulegyric processes.
