Case 3 History ---- The patient is a 63 year old woman with rapid onset of headache and mental status decline. MRI demonstrates a mass lesion in the right frontal lobe. ---- This coronal MRI section has both acute and chronic abscess elements which may be identified as a more wispy hypointense (compared to the adjacent wall structure) appearance.
