Case 5 History
The patient is a 51-year-old man who presented with the new onset of generalized tonic/clonic seizures. An MRI showed multiple lesions with rim enhancement on post contrast imaging. Although in this setting of a patient with a 70 pack year smoking history, these lesions were suspicious for metastatic disease until intraoperative demonstration that they represented abscesses.
