Case 11 History ---- This patient was a 48 year old female who arrived at the hospital febrile to 40.1oC, obtunded and hypotensive. A head CT revealed dilated lateral, third, and fourth ventricles with an isodense substance layering out in the posterior aspect of both lateral ventricles consistent with ventriculitis. The patient suddenly developed cardiopulmonary arrest and could not be resuscitated.
