3A0 Case 3 History
Case 3 History ---- This patient was a 31 year old type 1 diabetic woman with a history of retinopathy and neuropathy. The patient experienced nausea, vomiting and a headache with localization to the right ear canal, and later superimposed fever. A lumbar puncture demonstrated 7850 cells, 98% PMNs, a protein of 140 and glucose of 4. She developed cardiopulmonary arrest and died 12 hours after admission.
