Case 9 History ---- This 3 day old full term male neonate developed focal seizures at one day of life, had a fever, tachycardia and was tachypneic. He was noted to have depressed neurological status (obtunded, minimally arousable) with expansion of his anterior fontanelle. He the developed generalized clonic type movements. Blood cultures grew gram positive cocci consistent with group B streptococcus. Care was redirected.
