Case 11 History ---- This patient was a two year old female with a past medical history of sickle cell disease who presented with pneumococcal meningitis and superior sagittal sinus thrombosis with numerous acute micro-infarcts involving cerebral hemispheres, cerebellum and brainstem, edema and diffuse ischemia.
