1H1 Mycoplasma Leukoencephalitis (Case 1) N1 CD61 1
1H1-4 In some clinical situations (see Case 3) megakaryocytes enter the bloodstream and may occlude small cerebral vessels with multilobated cells which could mimic the aggregates of atypical endothelial cells in this entity. In these four images CD61, a marker for thrombocytes and megakaryocytes, labels occasional intravascular platelets but routinely fails to label the atypical endothelial cell aggregates (CD61 IHC)
