8A0 Case 8 History
Case 8 History ---- This patient was a 78 year old man with a recent history of confusion and weakness whose EEG showed nonspecific slowing. An LP showed a mildly elevated protein, 321 cells mostly lymphocytes, a glucose of 46 and no growth on culture. He continued to lose CNS, kidney and lung function and died. ---- At autopsy tuberculous involvement was identified in lung, kidney and brain. Mycobacterium tuberculosis was cultured from the CSF.
