Case 5 History ---- This patient was a 45 year old IV drug abuser with HIV who developed a 2 week history of nausea and vomiting. He developed CNS edema and a mass in the fourth ventricle and died. (AANP Diagnostic Slide session 1996, Case10) ---- 5A1,2 A low magnification image shows a leptomeningeal process with patchy parenchymal invasion, seen at higher magnification in 5A2.
