Case 2 History ---- This child was 2 weeks old born at 23 wk EGA as a twin gestation. The patient developed hyaline membrane disease and subsequently possible seizure activity and desaturations. Urine, blood and CSF cultures grew Candida Albicans. The patient's fungemia did not respond to treatment and the patient died at 2 weeks of age.
