Case 5 History ---- The patient was a 65 year old man with a history of myelodysplastic syndrome which transformed into acute myelogenous leukemia. He was status-post chemotherapy and relapse and developed fever and constant headache with precipitous decrement in mental status four days after admission. MRI of the brain showed nodular enhancement along the lining of the lateral ventricles and spinal leptomeninges.
