1B1-5 H&E examination of the leptomeninges in this case. A fleeting look at the low magnification H&E section showing expansion of the leptomeninges (arrows) may only hint at the ongoing process. Successive higher magnifications finally begin to resolve the yeasts. Notice that even H&E sections suggests the presence of a capsule (arrowheads, 1B3) as well as a more typical appearance (arrows, 1B3).
