Case 1 History The patient was a 22-year-old woman with hepatitis C and intravenous methamphetamine abuse. The patient started feeling ill one morning and within 48 hours was somnolent and complained of weakness of her right face, arm and leg. A CT scan revealed a left frontal mass with peripheral enhancement. Her infection could not be controlled and she died 13 days after admission.
