1C2,3 Higher magnification shows scattered fungi (arrow & arrowhead mark fungi cut in cross section and longitudinal section, respectively) admixed with a prominent infiltrate of PMNs. Higher magnification of the individual organisms shows large hyphae lacking septae with 90o branching (arrow, 1C3)
