Case 1 History ---- Immunohistochemically proven Acanthamoeba sp in an AIDS patient. This was a 41 year old patient with a 3 year history of AIDS complicated by multiple opportunistic infections including retinal CMV and pneumocystis pneumonia and a questionable history of toxoplasmosis.
