Case 3 History ---- This twin was born at 23 weeks gestation complicated by prolonged rupture of membranes. Complications included hyaline membrane disease, spontaneous bowel perforation, Staphylococcus epidermis sepsis and anemia and thrombocytopenia, status post multiple blood product transfusions. At the time of death at 6 weeks of age she had CMV infection of lung, kidney and adrenal gland.
