3A1-3 Although thought in the past to spare cats and large felines, more cases are reported in those species. This case was reported in a tiger with ataxia, loss of ambulation, and swallowing difficulties resulting in euthanasia. ---- Low magnification of the brainstem shows patchy inflammation consisting of lymphocytic cuffing, parenchymal lymphocytic and macrophage infiltration, astrocytosis and microglial proliferation.
