Case 6 History ---- This 35 year old man had a 9 year history of AIDS which included disseminated histoplasmosis, herpes simplex virus II infection, and oral Candida. His terminal admission was for rectal bleeding. A head CT scan revealed diffuse cerebral cortical atrophy. The patient refused further workup or treatment.
