2A0 Case 2 History
Case 2 History ---- This patient was also born at 35 weeks of gestation to a mother whose cervix grew Herpes simplex 2. The child was born with numerous skin ulcers (HSV-2 by culture), microcephaly, chorioretinitis, and focal calcification of the adrenal gland. The child soon developed a severe seizure disorder and died at the age of 4 months.
