Case 2 History ---- This patient was a 29 year old man who awoke with a sore throat and headache with low-grade fever and marked agitation. There was no history of bites, HIV, or drugs; VDRL was negative. Within a day his fever spiked to 106oF. He developed muscle fasciculations, then paralysis and coma.
