Case 11 History ---- The patient was a nine day old 1080 gram fetus product of a 7.5 month pregnancy of a 26 year old mother. Delivery was obtained by a classical caesarian section for central placenta previa. After birth he was kept in an isolette, where he had frequent spells of apnea.
Postmortem examination showed atelectasis, kernicterus and pes equinus varus of the right foot.
11A There is bilateral yellowish involvement of nuclei in the dorsal midbrain/pons.
