Case 1 History ---- This was a premature (2150gm) jaundiced female infant with a history of erythroblastosis fetalis due to Rh incompatibility who lived for 2 days after birth with hyaline membrane disease and intra-alveolar hemorrhage, ---- At autopsy this 300 gram brain showed marked yellowing of the basal ganglia, hippocampus and portions of the brain stem.
