2B1,2 Images of the cerebellum show patchy loss of Purkinje and granule cells with increased numbers of "torpedos" (blue arrows, 2B2) arising from Purkinje cells. Increased Bergmann glia (arrowhead, 2B2) are encountered in patches (H&E). A number of abnormal Purkinje dendrites are present in the molecular layer (white arrows, 2B2)
