The patient had significant cortical atrophy, dilatation of the lateral and temporal horns of the ventricular system and atrophy of the cerebellum, particularly the vermis. There was no history of alcoholism or nutritional problems at any point in her life, and this may represent one of many patterns of hypoxic/ischemic degeneration.
