7A1,2 This coronal section shows a more substantive pattern of injury than solely that involving the mammillary bodies which clearly are shrunken and discolored. The left sided MB (arrow) may reflect involvement of an ischemic pattern of injury or more selectively loss of the innervation projections to or from the MB.
