8A1-3 This patient has modest cortical atrophy, dilatation and blunting of the lateral ventricles which may reflect his Alzheimer disease with superimposition of multiple infarcts. It is clear that the mammillary bodies are small but the basal ganglia adjacent have numerous orange stained lacunes and the thalamus shows substantial shrinkage. Is this Wernicke encephalopathy?
