A glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) stain in this region shows only peripheral staining of adjacent brain parenchyma. However, epithelioid cells within the constituent cells of the mass are negative.---- Additional stains (not shown): A trichrome stain highlights the perivascular collagen.
