At autopsy the patient showed hepatosplenomegaly, pulmonary congestion, consolidation with right lower lobe infarct, and accelerated thymic involution. The patient’s unfixed brain weighed 560g. ---- 4A1,2 Coronal sections of the fixed brain show well preserved cortex and deep gray with a hint of white matter discoloration.
