History ---- The patient is a 70-year-old woman with history of a lytic meningioma in the left parietal lobe, status post craniotomy and PEEK implant for cranioplasty, presenting with a new 2.1 cm enhancing lesion of the posterior margin of the cranioplasty with dural connection, suspicious for recurrence. ---- H&E-stained sections show numerous fragments of polarizable foreign material embedded within fibrous tissue with associated foreign body giant cell reaction. There is no evidence of neoplasm.
