Case 5 History
The patient is a 34 year old woman who presented with amenorrhea and headaches for the last five months prior to her admission. She had diabetes insipidus. MRI studies showed a sellar mass and a gadolinium enhancing lesion at the base of the hypothalamus. She had slightly elevated prolactin levels and normal levels of the other pituitary hormones. Operative procedure: Transphenoidal pituitary biopsy.
