In this 40X HPF there were more than 70 IgG4 immunoreactive plasma cells. ---- Not shown: Immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and special stains with appropriate control performed to evaluate cells in tissue context. CD3, CD20 and PAX5 highlight admixed T and B-cells respectively, in roughly equal proportions with background of fibrosis and granulation tissue. CD15 and CD30 do not highlight any large atypical cells. Kappa-ISH and lambda-ISH reveal polyclonal plasma cells with approximately 1 to 1 kappa to lambda ratio. EBER ISH is negative. No microorganisms were identified by GMS and AFB stains.
