11V1-3 One micron-thick toluidine blue stained plastic sural nerve sections show nearly complete loss of large and small myelinated axons involving all fascicles. This is a puzzling result given that axon loss is typically mild in HCQ neuropathy and often shows calcifications or lamellar bodies which suggests the participation of other neuropathic insults such as renal failure or diabetes, (Plastic sections)
