This muscle fiber appears to be suffering from imminent demise with numerous small vacuoles and autophagic material. Note the adjacent cell (arrow, 2C2A) which is separate from the degenerating muscle, likely an early macrophage. A few sarcomeres still can be identified. (electron micrographs)
