3A1 Autophagic Myopathy (Case 3) H&E 1
Case 3 History ---- The patient is a 5-year-old girl with facial and limb weakness with dysphagia. The clinical differential includes a congenital myasthenic syndrome versus congenital muscular dystrophy/myopathy. Operative procedure: Right deltoid muscle biopsy. ---- 3A1-4 The poor processing in this biopsy material appears to show granular content and some vacuoles; however, in the presence of artifact this finding could have been overlooked. (H&E)
